Archbishop Vigano: Voting For Trump Is A Moral Duty For Catholics

Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, a former Vatican representative to the United States, has issued a strong message to American Catholics, urging them to vote for President Donald Trump in the upcoming election. In a recent open letter, Vigano denounced Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris, as an “infernal monster who obeys Satan,” arguing that a vote for her would lead to disaster.

Vigano, who served as Apostolic Nuncio from 2011 to 2016, gained prominence for exposing what he called corruption within the Vatican. His latest letter emphasized that the 2024 election is a pivotal moment, stating that Catholics must choose between “freedom and slavery” and cannot remain neutral. He argued that voting for Harris is not an option for Catholics who value democracy and religious freedom.

According to a Pew Research Center poll, 52% of American Catholics intend to vote for Trump, with 47% supporting Harris. Vigano highlighted these numbers, urging Catholics to unite and make a stand against what he described as the globalist agenda threatening America’s sovereignty.

Vigano warned that a Harris presidency would undermine the nation’s moral fabric, accusing her of supporting policies that oppose Catholic teachings. He urged Catholics to view their vote as a defense against the erosion of their faith and values. He stressed that Trump is the only choice to counter what he referred to as a “deep state” conspiracy aiming to destroy America’s traditional Christian identity.

Vigano’s call to action was echoed by Cardinal Raymond Burke, who has advised Catholics to pray and fast before voting. Burke emphasized that Catholics should seek candidates who align with Catholic values, even if they hold some differing views.

Additionally, Father Chad Ripperger provided spiritual support by composing a prayer for the election. He encouraged Catholics to seek divine guidance to protect the integrity of their decision and ensure that America’s future leaders are committed to upholding faith and freedom.
