Biden Family Tradition: First Daughter Also Has Unpaid Taxes

New reports show that Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, has a tax lien filed against her for more than $5,000 in unpaid assessments. The tax period covered by the lien dates back to January 1, 2015, during her father’s tenure as vice president, and extends through January 1, 2021, just days before he assumed the presidency.

The lien filed by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue’s Philadelphia County office now encumbers the 42-year-old Biden daughter’s property until it is fully satisfied.

The revelation of the lien adds a new dimension to the ongoing controversies surrounding the Biden family’s corrupt finances, international business dealings and unpaid taxes.

Watchdog group Marco Polo founder and former aide to President Donald Trump Garrett Ziegler noted the political irony in the new reporting. “President Biden is constantly talking about how wealthy and connected people do not pay their fair share and can’t afford to pay more, and it just so happens that both of his living children did not pay their taxes,” Ziegler told reporters.

He added, “Like, you’d think that they would show a little bit more prudence when you’re the American first family to make sure you don’t have any tax liens on you, especially going into an election year.”

Ashley Biden maintains a carefully curated public persona as a social worker and philanthropist. She previously worked for the Delaware Center for Justice, where she focused on criminal justice reform, social work and activism.

Meanwhile, first son Hunter Biden is facing a new significant federal tax evasion prosecution. Under the new indictment filed in Los Angeles, Hunter allegedly failed to pay or properly report $1.4 million owed in federal taxes over four years. The new case includes three felony and six misdemeanor charges. Documents filed with the court show the government found that Hunter Biden was spending lavishly on his extravagant lifestyle and criminal activities as he failed to pay his taxes.

The discovery of Ashley Biden’s tax lien is not just about unpaid taxes — it testifies to the importance of transparency and ethical conduct among political figures and their families. It also brings to the forefront the ongoing discussion about tax fairness and political integrity, especially in light of Joe Biden’s tough talk on tax collection enforcement.
