Biden-Harris Immigration Policies Contribute To Decline In American Jobs

Under the Biden-Harris administration, the U.S. job market is experiencing a significant shift, with foreign-born workers filling an increasing number of positions as American employment figures decline. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), there has been a dramatic rise in foreign-born employment, with 1.24 million additional foreign-born workers between August 2023 and August 2024. In contrast, the number of American-born workers decreased by 1.32 million during the same period.

This disparity has had a particularly severe impact on American males, with 1.15 million losing their jobs over the past year. American-born women have also faced job losses, though to a lesser extent, with a decrease of 165,000 jobs. Meanwhile, the number of foreign-born male workers increased by 695,000 and foreign-born female workers by 546,000.

Critics argue that the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies are contributing to this imbalance by prioritizing the employment of immigrants over American citizens. This trend is seen as detrimental to the economic stability of U.S. workers, driving down wages and reducing job opportunities for American-born individuals.

President Donald Trump has proposed an alternative approach to address these issues. His plans focus on curbing illegal immigration and fostering job growth for American workers. Trump advocates for policies that aim to protect American jobs and reverse the negative impact of current immigration practices on the U.S. labor market.

As the debate continues, there is growing concern about the effectiveness of current immigration policies and their impact on American employment. The need for policy reforms to better support U.S. workers and address the challenges posed by foreign-born labor is becoming increasingly apparent.
