Bill Clinton Cannot Save The Democrat Party

Mark Penn predicted that the 2022 midterm elections would be a fiasco for liberals if they keep embracing extreme leftists. His strategies propelled Clinton’s second term.

Penn is a well-known pollster. He foresees that the moderate and leftist alliance will destroy the Democrat party. What he does not understand is that there are no moderates anymore, if there ever were. He thinks the Democrats can embrace people like Democrat Senators Joe Manchin (WV) and Kyrsten Sinema and their positions instead of running them out of the party.

The extreme leftist and socialist legislative issues have already damaged the Democrats with voters. Joe Biden is not in charge of this country, his maladministration, let alone his party, and their dismissal approach to power.

Penn offers his unsolicited advice to New York City Committeeman and Andrew Stein in the New York Times. He anticipates liberals will lose 50 House seats in the 2022 midterm election. He thinks that independent and swing voters in Virginia and New Jersey just sent a resonating reminder to the Biden organization.

Liberals have lost their standing across the country, and the result of the 2020 election was not a mandate. It was confirmation of the level of corruption in our electoral system. Momentum continues to push the Republicans. Pampering the so-called moderates will not help them.

Penn helped Democrats during the 1990s on the Clinton team with Dick Morris and James Carville. Morris has become critical of all Democrats running his newsletter with a conservative bent. And Carville recently shared Penn’s consternation about Democrat prospects. He helped Bill Clinton with his triangulation strategy, cutting opponents off at the knees by stealing their favorable issues.

In the 1994 midterm elections, Newt Gingrich launched the Contract with America. Penn’s strategy helped gain victories through the Clinton administration’s maneuvers over the next six years.

Virginia and New Jersey elections paired with tanking approval ratings and an economic crisis are reverberating reminders that citizens have rejected the Biden maladministration. Democrats that embrace Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are the heart of the Leftist faction. Even Nancy Pelosi has learned how to deal with the Squad.

Claiming that the Virginia governor’s race was entirely based on culture war issues mistakes the problems in one state with a nationwide movement against CRT and LGBT agendas. New Jersey showed that the swing toward conservatives included more than social issues. Anti-President Biden and his protective media are being mocked, and the temperament of the country has changed.

Penn and Stein think that it is the 1990s and Biden and return to the middle. Like the Labor Party in the UK, Democrats can occupy a position that appeals to white working-class voters.

They are misreading the room. Americans will not fall for these policy positions used as a smokescreen to allow staffers, lawyers, and lobbyists to run this nation. MAGA Republicans are the white-working class, African-American and Hispanic-American voters reaching out to suburban moms on Trump’s issues with his baggage.
