In the midst of an ongoing border crisis, President Joe Biden’s denial and self-congratulatory stance on the situation are overshadowing the grave implications for American safety, immigrant welfare and the flourishing of criminal organizations.
The Biden administration, consistently breaking undesirable records, has encountered, apprehended, or witnessed a significant rise in “got-aways” — individuals who evade capture. Yet, the administration tries to downplay the severity of the issue, using the term “irregular migration” as a euphemism for an uncontrolled surge of illegal immigration.
As Kamala Harris delusionally claims to address the influx of illegal immigrants by tackling “root causes” in Central American countries known as the Northern Triangle, the reality on the ground reveals a different picture. The majority of those being apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border comes from countries outside of Central America and the Western Hemisphere.
Outgoing Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz highlights a glaring contradiction in Vice President Harris’ approach. Despite her plea for residents of Central America not to come to the United States, there has been an alarming tenfold increase in the number of apprehended individuals from various countries, signaling a clear failure in the White House’s messaging.
We have seen an increase of over 1000% from some countries. While we work diligently to repatriate migrants from these countries, we still have challenges with countries' governments to get working programs in place to repatriate all those we apprehend. pic.twitter.com/w9aVwdqkZb

A direct comparison of fiscal year 2022 and 2023 reveals a disturbing trend. Border agents have observed a tenfold surge in apprehensions of individuals originating from Afghanistan, China, Egypt, Mauritania, and other nations, raising significant concerns for national security.
These countries, well beyond the scope of the Central American crisis, demand urgent attention and a comprehensive strategy from the Biden administration. The impact of this border crisis cannot be understated. It jeopardizes the safety of American citizens, exposes immigrants to exploitation and perilous conditions, and enables criminal organizations to thrive.
The Biden administration’s continued denial and attempts to manipulate language through the use of “irregular migration” only serve to obscure the true extent of the illegal immigration crisis.
It is essential for the White House to acknowledge the gravity of the situation and take decisive action.
The focus must shift from empty rhetoric to implementing effective policies that address the root causes of illegal immigration and ensure the security of the nation. Swift and meaningful intervention is necessary to protect both American citizens and the vulnerable individuals who are being lured into dangerous journeys by false promises.
As the border crisis persists, it is incumbent upon President Biden and his administration to confront the reality and work towards sustainable solutions. Failure to do so not only endangers lives but also undermines public trust in the government’s ability to uphold national security and protect the interests of the American people.
The time for action is now, and the consequences of inaction are too dire to ignore.
