Democrats Consider $100 Monthly Gas Stimulus Checks

Democrats are pushing for a monthly $100 stimulus check to offset skyrocketing gas prices caused by Biden’s unfortunate policies. Earlier this month, Americans witnessed gas prices reach an all-time high, which is why Democrats are demanding even more federal spending — they just don’t learn — to cover up the effects of their leadership before the midterm elections.

According to the new bill, the Gas Rebate Act, Americans would be eligible for payments as long as the country’s average gas price remains higher than $4 per gallon — as is the case right now. The bill will provide $100 to both single and joint tax filers, and every dependent would also be eligible to receive $100.

In a statement by one of the bill’s authors, Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA) said that “the monthly gas stimulus check will ease the financial burden of the global fuel crisis on middle-class Americans.”

On Wednesday, California Governor Gavin Newsom stated that he is suggesting payments of $400 per car, with a limit of two cars, to residents of California. Newsom’s proposal is pending approval. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) put forward another proposal which will give a quarterly rebate to the consumers by imposing a tax on oil and gas companies.

CBS News recently reported that American consumers are experiencing increased costs of $2000, on top of an already outrageous $1000 increase in grocery expenses, due to price hikes for gas. Because of these spikes, consumers are driving less to reduce their spending.

But what will all of this deficit spending do to the already rising rate of inflation? Evidently, Democrats aren’t concerned about this one bit.
