Republicans are not budging in the face of breathless Democratic demands that presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. be uninvited from testifying before the House Select Subcommittee this week.
The group is holding a hearing on the Biden administration’s weaponization of the federal government, and Democrats are up in arms.
RFK Jr. is being bashed by the left after a New York Post report in which he talked about a viewpoint of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Biden rival said that some believe that the coronavirus was “ethnically targeted” and “attacks certain races disproportionately.”

For his part, RFK Jr. said the Post’s narrative was “mistaken.” He said he never remarked that the coronavirus was engineered to spare the Jewish population.
He asserted that Washington and other governments are developing bioweapons that specifically target certain groups. The Democrat noted a 2021 study that showed that COVID-19 appeared to affect races differently and was “most compatible with Blacks and Caucasians.”
This, RFK Jr. said, proved the concept of “ethnically targeted bioweapons.” He denied ever believing or stating that ethnic differences in the effects of the coronavirus were “deliberately engineered.”
That was not enough for Democrats to back off their demand that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) rescind his invitation for RFK Jr. to testify.
The chairman said that he is in complete disagreement with Kennedy’s statements but acknowledged that he’s a Democrat. “I disagree with other things he said too. But we’re having him because of censorship.”
Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) also disavowed statements accredited to the candidate in the Post article but said the testimony will continue. “The hearing that we have this week is about censorship. I don’t think censoring somebody is actually the answer here.”
What is clear is that the left-wing media is attempting to destroy President Joe Biden’s biggest rival for the party’s 2024 nomination.
RFK Jr. is known for speaking in theoretical terms about medical issues, including COVID-19 and vaccines. Despite it being clear what he referred to, the left pounced on his statements and tried to derail his opposition to the current administration.
Between the Trump indictments and “journalistic” attacks on RFK Jr., it is obvious that the president’s path to reelection is being cleared by his media partners.
