Hungary’s Orban Warns Of Foreign Meddling After Serbia Unrest

Hungary’s President Viktor Orban has issued a stark warning about foreign interference in European politics, pointing to violent disruptions in Serbia’s Parliament as evidence of an orchestrated attempt to undermine nationalist leadership.

Orban’s statement, posted on X, accused globalist groups of shifting their efforts to countries like Serbia, Slovakia and Hungary after losing influence in Washington. He said Serbia’s opposition was using aggressive tactics to create instability, which he linked to a broader strategy to weaken independent governments.

Serbian lawmakers set off smoke bombs and blocked parliamentary proceedings, an event Orban cited as a clear sign of globalist forces working to destabilize the region. He declared his support for Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, warning that such tactics threaten national sovereignty.

Orban has long been at odds with the European Union over issues ranging from immigration policies to centralized governance. His government has pushed back against Brussels’ influence, maintaining that Hungary must retain control over its own laws and cultural values.

He also made a reference to Washington, suggesting that “patriots” had gained control there, likely alluding to President Donald Trump’s administration. Orban has praised Trump for promoting nationalist policies and resisting globalist pressure to escalate conflicts like the Russia-Ukraine war.

The crisis in Serbia underscores the growing divide between nationalist leaders and EU-backed forces, with Orban’s warning adding to the broader concerns over foreign influence in European affairs.
