Proxy Wars America Versus Iran In Cuba

As the Biden administration has finally made what may turn out to be paltry offers of help to Cuban democratic demonstrators, Iran has entered the game.

On Thursday, July 22, 2021, US Whitehouse communications announced that they would renew the sanctions that Joe Biden and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized. Joe Biden had echoed the Cuban Communist propaganda when he said that unrest in Cuba was caused by sanctions endorsed by Donald Trump, but put in place by President John F. Kennedy in 1962.

Biden State Department officials have pointed out the human-rights abuses committed by the autocratic government. Many human-rights organizations and Cuban dissident groups in south Florida have been calling for the condemnation of Miguel Díaz-Caneland, his band of thugs.

The communist island has seen protests flare up over the last month. Protestors are being beaten and tossed into trucks shipping them into prisons.

Enter Iran. Now that the Iranian government wants to help the Cuban Miguel Díaz-Canel Communist regime Joe Biden will have to deal with additional complications. It is an attempt by the Shiite country, which is one of the most prominent state sponsors of terrorism, to thwart U.S. sanctions.

Iran has already established a partnership with Venezuela and is always looking to increase the reach of anti-American communist countries in the western hemisphere. Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela, has received thanks from Miguel Díaz-Canel, who tweeted: “Thanks to our beloved Venezuela, its children who are our brothers. What (leaders) Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro founded are indestructible!”

Iran may be seeking leverage in the subsequent nuclear agreement because the last one worked out so well. They may also be looking to strengthen the Anti-American brotherhood of dictators. The people of Iran have been anxiously awaiting some opportunity to rise and unseat the clerical regime of Mullahs. Economic hardship and the continual crackdown on personal freedoms in Iran are nothing new. Sooner or later, the country will face a catastrophe.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif spoke with Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez via phone. In the Iran media outlet, they “slammed the U.S.” for “meddling in Cuba’s internal affairs.” Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that the United States was the cause of Cuba’s economic depression and social unrest. He has detailed how the U.S. prevents Cubans from purchasing medicine and food.

Saeed Khatibzadeh commented, “As a country facing illegal and cruel sanctions of the U.S., Iran expresses its solidarity with the Cuban people and government and calls for an immediate end to the U.S.’s unilateral sanctions against Cuba.”

He must think that evil capitalists would rather kill people than support the freedom and dignity of human beings who have the right to travel and buy what they want. Cuban Kangaroo Courts are railroading activists. How far will U.S. actions go to protect the Cuban people from this tyranny? The Cuban government has seized over 500 people.

President Joe Biden has announced, “I unequivocally condemn the mass detentions and sham trials that are unjustly sentencing to prison those who dared to speak out to intimidate and threaten the Cuban people into silence. It is just the beginning, and the United States will continue to sanction individuals responsible for the oppression of the Cuban people.”
