RFK Jr. Calls For Investigation Into Alleged Biden Bribery Scheme

At this point in the 2024 presidential primary race, Republican contenders are generally involved in intraparty squabbles in an attempt to gain ground within a crowded field.

Meanwhile, Republicans on Capitol Hill are exposing damning new allegations of corruption involving President Joe Biden, which have gone largely ignored by those who hope to take him on in the upcoming general election.

One Democratic primary candidate is willing to address the issue, however.

During a Fox News Channel interview, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited evidence presented by U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) that alleges an executive at the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma was “coerced” by the Biden clan to pay both Joe and Hunter Biden $5 million in exchange for their intervention in an ongoing investigation into the company.

“I have avoided criticizing the president because I, you know, I’m trying to bring people together and end some of the vitriol, the poison that’s made politics so poisonous,” Kennedy told host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday.

Nevertheless, he concluded that the allegations brought to light in recent days “are worrying enough that we really need a real investigation of what happened.”

Specifically addressing the alleged $10 million payout from “notoriously corrupt” Burisma, Kennedy added: “If that’s true, then it is really troubling.”

Echoing many of the same complaints lodged in recent months by GOP lawmakers, he asserted that the American people deserve a full investigation into claims of corruption and politicization within the ranks of the federal government.

“I think that that’s something that every American needs to worry about and our federal agencies, which used to be above politics, and now become weaponized as political instruments, and that, again, is another really damaging trend for our democracy,” Kennedy concluded.

Grassley touted the release of this information last week as a high point in an ongoing probe into the Department of Justice and the FBI.

“While the FBI sought to obfuscate and redact, the American people can now read this document for themselves, without the filter of politicians or bureaucrats, thanks to brave and heroic whistleblowers,” he said. “What did the Justice Department and FBI do with the detailed information in the document? And why have they tried to conceal it from Congress and the American people for so long?”
