Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) appeared on Fox News over the weekend to lecture the Republican Party for daring to pass pro-life laws — claiming that the failure of the GOP in the 2022 midterm elections happened because of Republican candidates’ pro-life advocacy in the wake of the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Mace began the discussion by hinting at a common catchphrase of RINO (Republican In Name Only) lawmakers — where these establishment Republicans often say that although they are pro-life personally, they have to be pro-choice publicly for some reason.
“Even though I’m pro-life, I represent a pro-choice district, and I saw the tide change after Roe was overturned. We went [from being] mildly pro-choice to … [a] vast majority of voters being pro-choice after Roe v. Wade. It changed the entire electoral environment in ’22,” she said on “Fox News Sunday.”

The RINO congresswoman went on to suggest that Republicans were going too far in their quest to protect unborn children from being killed in their mothers’ wombs.
According to Mace, the reason that Republicans lost seats that they were expected to win was because of their pro-life beliefs — claiming that conservative lawmakers “have not learned our lesson from the midterm election.”
Mace’s insistence that Republicans should “find a middle ground” on abortion is exactly why the left continues to win, as critics point out that the left never truly compromises on their positions no matter how radical or extreme they are — while the GOP consistently tries to placate the left by compromising on their own values, essentially allowing the left to continue to win.
The RINO congresswoman then suggested one of these compromises — arguing that there are “a lot of things that we can do to protect life and not alienate the independent voter,” such as improving access to birth control.
“We’re afraid of the issue because we’re afraid of our base, and — but that’s not where the base is,” Mace claimed.
Mace was blasted on social media by conservatives, with pro-life website Life News calling her a “sellout.”
“Nancy Mace is a sellout,” Life News tweeted. “If you can’t even stand up for babies killed in abortions you’re no better than the left.”

This isn’t Mace’s first time attacking the pro-life movement this month, as she previously called for the Biden administration to illegally and unconstitutionally ignore a pro-life ruling from a Texas judge.
“I agree with ignoring it at this point… this thing should just be thrown out, quite frankly,” she told “CNN This Morning,” referring to a Texas judge’s decision to suspend the FDA approval of the dangerous abortion drug mifepristone.
