Rising Radiation In New York Sparks Concerns After Drones Appear Over East Coast

Radiation levels in New York City have been rising after a series of drone sightings in the area. The increase in radiation has raised alarms among local officials, as experts try to make sense of the connection between these airborne devices and the sudden uptick in radiation.

Radiation readings in the Bronx and Upper West Side have reached 1,048 counts-per-minute (CPM), a significant increase from the typical 5 to 60 CPM that most people are exposed to on a daily basis. The safety threshold for radiation exposure is 200 CPM, making these readings especially concerning.

Gordon Chang, a China expert and author, speculated that the drones could be involved in searching for a nuclear device or other harmful material. He pointed out that the radiation spikes were concentrated on both sides of the Hudson River, which could suggest a targeted search for something dangerous.

Chang also criticized the Biden administration’s failure to address the situation. Drawing parallels to the Chinese spy balloon incident, he argued that the U.S. government has failed to adequately protect its citizens from potential threats. “This is another failure of the federal government to safeguard the American people,” Chang said.

The situation has become even more complex as officials in New Jersey are investigating missing radioactive materials. While local authorities have dismissed the incident as a non-emergency, the timing of these reports in relation to the drones has sparked further concern.

As residents in New York and New Jersey await more information, many are questioning whether the government is prepared to respond to what could be a serious national security threat. The mystery surrounding the drones continues to grow, leaving both experts and citizens on edge.
