San Francisco DA Refuses To Release Pelosi Assault Video And Call Footage

The district attorney of San Francisco raised eyebrows Wednesday after she stated that her office has refused to uncover recordings from police body cameras or 911 calls from the alleged assault against Paul Pelosi.

The attack occurred last week after 43-year-old David DePape allegedly either broke or was let into the residence of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her husband Paul on the morning of October 28th.

No footage of security cameras, police body cameras, or 911 calls has been put out to the public.

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said that law enforcement will not be revealing video footage to the public after NBC News pressed her on the matter.

“Are you planning to release the 911 call or any body camera video [from the Paul Pelosi attack]?” NBC’s Kristen Welker asked Wednesday.

“Not at this time,” answered Jenkins. “We’re going to find out today the speed at which this case will proceed once he’s arraigned. We’ll make decisions about what evidence gets played in court, during any hearings, or during the trial,” Jenkins added.

DePape reportedly pleaded not guilty for the attack at a state court Tuesday.

“I’m sick of the insane … level of lies coming out of Washington, D.C. I came here to have a little chat with his wife,” he allegedly told officials, adding, “I didn’t really want to hurt him, but you know this was a suicide mission. I’m not going to stand here and do nothing even if it costs me my life,” per the documents.

The story surrounding DePape is an odd one. The 42-year-old man is reportedly an illegal alien, lived in a hippie commune in Berkeley, California, and has been described by his former partner as a “mentally ill” man who believed he was Jesus Christ.

In spite of these reported revelations, numerous members of the left have attempted to blame the attack on Paul Pelosi on Republicans.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for instance, linked the event to an ongoing “streak of violence, of racism, misogyny, antisemitism” when asked about the matter and said that the GOP is engaging in “dangerous” behavior.

Meanwhile, Andrew Wortman, a political activist who has gone viral on Twitter, described DePape as a “MAGA TERRORIST who tried to ASSASSINATE NANCY PELOSI.”

A public record request filed by The Epoch Times for body camera footage from the officers who responded to the incident was promptly denied by the San Francisco Police Department, which claimed that “disclosure of information may endanger the successful completion of the investigation.”
