Crime is on the upswing in the United States right now, and the only thing that shocks is that no one predicted it. Every news presenter or newspaper writer has a different explanation for the increase in crime, but none makes sense. The rise in crime isn’t due to systemic prejudice. More money or defunding the police will not fix the problem.
When Bill Clinton was questioned about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky, he lied to Congress in front of the whole nation. There were scandals following scandals throughout his term in government, and he was never held responsible for any of them. Neither the Bush nor the Biden Administrations fared much better. Whitewater, Vince Foster, WMDs, Benghazi, ATF gun-walking, the Russia hoax, and many other egregious crimes committed by DC residents. The same disgraceful guys nominate Supreme Court Justices. Because he wasn’t one of them, the Washington swamp created a farce charging him of treason, impeached him twice, and enabled him to be defrauded out of his second term in office.
The question is on a public servant’s salary, how did Nancy Pelosi get so wealthy? We aren’t naive. Why should anybody else respect the law if the individuals in charge of the country can’t? People need to smell the swamp and wake up. They can’t steal in front of their children and expect them to grow up to be law-abiding individuals.
Moreover, because the American people are becoming as morally corrupt as the government’s officials, crime is rising. Because jails and prisons are already overcrowded, harsher penalties will not reduce crime. Leaders, like everyone else, must be held accountable. Although no one is supposed to be above the law in this town, they might have fooled them.
When Americans are pleased to be Americans again, the issues will disappear. Their Olympic competitors are now choosing to represent other nations, and the media blames this on money. Eileen Gu isn’t proud enough of her homeland to express it. That is why she is not a United States representative. She shouldn’t be held responsible for it.
