Tom Homan Dismisses Criticism From Rep. Crockett, Defends Border Policies

Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for border czar, has rejected criticism from Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) regarding his approach to immigration policy. Homan responded during a Newsmax interview, defending his qualifications and highlighting his decades of experience.

“Well, look, I forgot more about this issue than she’ll ever know,” Homan said. He accused Crockett of misunderstanding the realities of illegal immigration and emphasized the need for stronger enforcement.

Crockett’s remarks, made during an MSNBC appearance, included criticism of family separations under the Trump administration. Homan countered by citing the human toll of illegal immigration, including violent crimes committed by individuals in the U.S. unlawfully.

“How many young women have to be raped and murdered and burned alive? How many angel moms and dads have to bury their children?” Homan asked, pointing to recent high-profile crimes.

Homan defended family detention policies, arguing that they keep families together while ensuring accountability. He dismissed Crockett’s comments as uninformed and politically motivated.

The ongoing border crisis has reached record levels, with over 7.4 million migrant encounters reported since 2021. Homan pledged to implement Trump’s immigration policies, focusing on securing the border and addressing public safety concerns.
