Trump Pledges Immediate Ban On Men Competing In Women’s Sports If Re-Elected

Former President Donald Trump announced his plan to ban men from participating in women’s sports and to reverse President Joe Biden’s Title IX revisions on his first day back in office. Trump shared his commitment during an interview with radio hosts Clay Travis and Buck Sexton.

Clay Travis revealed the news on X, stating, “President Trump just pledged to all of us on @clayandbuck that men will not be allowed to compete against women in sports when he is elected president. He promises to take care of it on day one and end Kamala and Biden’s new Title IX policies allowing this to happen.”

Trump emphasized his stance on Truth Social, posting, “I WILL KEEP MEN OUT OF WOMEN’S SPORTS!”

This announcement follows a contentious incident at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Italian boxer Angela Carini withdrew from her match against Algerian transgender boxer Imane Khelif. Khelif had previously been disqualified from the 2023 world championships due to having “XY chromosomes” and elevated testosterone levels, sparking widespread debate about fairness in women’s sports.

The GOP’s 2024 platform echoes Trump’s commitment, focusing on measures to exclude trans-identifying males from women’s athletics, prohibit taxpayer funding for sex-change surgeries, and stop schools from promoting gender transition. These actions are intended to counter Biden’s Title IX policies and restore protections for female athletes.

Trump’s promise comes at a time when the inclusion of transgender athletes in women’s sports is a major talking point. Supporters of Trump’s stance argue that allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports undermines the integrity and fairness of the competitions.

As the 2024 election nears, Trump’s clear stance on this issue is likely to resonate strongly with conservative voters who are concerned about maintaining traditional gender roles in sports and education. His pledge to address the issue “on day one” highlights his determination to make immediate changes to current policies.
