Trump To Host Netanyahu At Mar-A-Lago Amid Tensions

President Donald Trump announced he will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago this Friday. This meeting comes after Vice President Kamala Harris declined to preside over Netanyahu’s address to Congress scheduled for Wednesday.

Trump initially set the meeting for Thursday but adjusted to Friday, July 26, at Netanyahu’s request. On Truth Social, Trump shared, “Looking forward to welcoming Bibi Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, on Thursday. During my first term, we had Peace and Stability in the Region, even signing the historic Abraham Accords – And we will have it again.”

Trump also emphasized his “PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH” agenda, expressing confidence that his approach would help end current global conflicts, contrasting Harris’s capabilities in managing these issues.

Netanyahu is set to address Congress about US-Israel relations, particularly amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas and other Iran-backed groups in the Middle East. The visit has sparked plans for anti-Israel protests in Washington, D.C. Roll Call reported that congressional offices are preparing for the demonstrations.

A Capitol Police representative commented, β€œFor safety reasons, we never provide specific security details, but generally we can say that our plan includes adding more officers β€” including from several outside agencies β€” continuing our robust intelligence sharing with our partners, and ensuring that we have enough resources for our teams.”
