Chinese Money Wired To Biden’s Delaware Address In 2019

During the 2019 Democratic primaries, Hunter Biden received substantial sums transferred via wire at Joe Biden’s Delaware residence.

In the summer of 2019, Hunter Biden received over $250,000 via wire transfers from Chinese business associates in Beijing. These transfers designated Joe Biden’s Delaware residence as the recipient address for the funds, according to Fox News Digital.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has been examining the business dealings of the Biden family and Joe Biden’s purported role in those enterprises.

During the investigation, Comer issued a subpoena for financial records associated with a particular bank account. These records revealed two wire transfers originating from Beijing, China, and connected to BHR Partners.

BHR Partners represents a joint venture involving Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca and the Chinese investment company Bohai Capital. It operates as a Beijing-supported private equity firm under the control of Bank of China Limited. Hunter Biden held a position on the Board of Directors at BHR Partners.

In the 2020 election, President Joe Biden asserted that his son Hunter had never received money from China. However, this statement has proven to be inaccurate, as evidenced by the Oversight Committee’s documentation.

Indeed, these transfers did occur, and they involved significant sums of money.

The initial wire sent to Hunter Biden, dated July 26, 2019, amounted to $10,000 and originated from an individual named Ms. Wang Xin. Notably, Ms. Wang Xin is listed on BHR Partners’ website. However, it remains uncertain whether this wire originated from the same Wang Xin mentioned on the website.

The second wire transfer sent to Hunter Biden, dated August 2, 2019, amounted to $250,000 and came from Li Xiang Sheng, also known as Jonathan Li, the CEO of BHR Partners, along with Ms. Tan Ling. The committee is currently working to determine Ms. Ling’s role in this matter.

It’s worth noting that the beneficiary for these wire transfers is listed as Robert Hunter Biden, with the address “1209 Barley Mill Rd.” in Wilmington, Delaware, the primary residence of Joe Biden.

These wire transfers occurred only a few months following the announcement of then-Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. In August 2019, Joe Biden asserted that he “never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything having to do with their business, period.”

Joe Biden wrote a letter of recommendation for Jonathan Li’s son to Brown University, which may appear as a relatively modest favor in exchange for the reported sum of at least $260,000. However, it remains uncertain what other benefits or considerations BHR Partners may have received from the Biden family, the Biden administration, Hunter Biden or Joe Biden.
