Democrat Governor Now Busing Illegal Migrants To Blue Cities

A Democrat governor is following his Republican counterparts’ initiative as he begins busing illegal migrants from his state to blue cities. In what will come as a damaging blow to liberals who are soft on the border, Democratic Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is now sending illegal immigrants in his state to cities like Chicago and New York City.

Polis, in a statement, said 70% of illegal migrants in his states are only passing by on their way to their final destination. Polis claimed the illegal border crossers are experiencing transportation cancellations due to bad weather and work shortages.

“No one should play politics with the lives of migrants who came here to escape oppression, and in Colorado, we are honoring our values of treating people with dignity and respect,” Polis said in the statement. “States and cities cannot continue to bear this burden alone and Congress needs to finally step up… and to finally enact better border security and immigration reform.”

Reports suggest Polis called Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams to inform him of his plans to send the illegal migrants to The Big Apple. However, Adams told Polis that there was no more room for his city to accommodate the migrants.

‘We were notified yesterday that the governor of Colorado has now stated that they are going to be sending migrants to places like New York and Chicago,” Adams said. “This is just unfair for local governments to have to take on this national obligation. We’ve done our job. There’s no more room at the inn.”

Adams said his city is overwhelmed with over 30,000 asylum seekers that need food, healthcare, shelter, education and other essential items.

Polis’ decision to send the migrants to the blue cities comes after Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) flew two planes loaded with roughly 50 migrants to the liberal enclave of Martha’s Vineyard in September. Taryn Fenske, DeSantis’ communication director, said the move was part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations.

“States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies,” Fenske said.
