Indiana Woman Faked Heart Attack, Hid Drugs In Privates

A woman from Richmond, Indiana, was recently arrested and charged with three felony counts, including dealing a narcotic drug, dealing cocaine, and dealing in a controlled substance, WXIN reported.

Amanda Smith, 41, was recently seen trying to prevent her arrest by pretending to have a heart attack, as the Blaze reported. Nonetheless, the woman’s efforts only led her behind bars, as officials later discovered an “avocado-size” sandwich bag hidden in her privates, filled with all types of drugs, including meth, fentanyl, and cocaine.

Smith’s recent arrest marks the second time she’s been charged in 2023 with multiple felony counts. As WXIN reported, in July 2023, police accused Smith of luring a woman to a home in Richmond under the illusion of selling her a ring. Of course, Smith didn’t sell the woman a ring, but instead punched her in the face several times before stealing her wallet and phone.

Shortly thereafter, Smith was arrested and charged with robbery resulting in bodily injury, along with criminal confinement. She was later released from jail after posting two separate cash bonds in July 2023, per WXIN.

Smith’s latest encounter with law enforcement came after a Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy witnessed her engaging with known drug users at a Phillip 66 gas station in Richmond.
The sheriff was familiar with Smith. He followed Smith’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop after she failed to use a turn signal and drove down the middle of the road.
The sheriff later released a report indicating that upon arrest, Smith faked a heart attack after a K9 alerted police of the presence of drugs. Smith reportedly began yelling and screaming that she was having a heart attack but did not allow doctors to provide a medical evaluation.

After arriving at the hospital, Smith refused to change clothes, instead insisting on using the restroom. Police believed such an insistence had to do with the fact that she was trying to avoid being searched for drugs.

Smith eventually agreed to change out of her clothes in front of the nurses. She later revealed that she did have fentanyl in her underwear. While changing, nurses reportedly saw what appeared to be a sandwich bag hidden within her private parts.
Authorities later found nearly 40 grams of meth, 10.4 grams of cocaine, and 9.2 grams of fentanyl, according to the sheriff’s report.
