The Weaponization Of The Courts Against Donald Trump

The multiple, contrived legal cases against Donald Trump demonstrate a disturbing weaponization of America’s criminal justice system. The credibility of America’s courts at all levels has taken serious damage.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said on Fox News: “It’s becoming increasingly difficult to deny that we have a legal system now that is being heavily distorted by politics and you cannot look at all of these cases and see blind justice, you see the opposite.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James’ real estate case against Trump involves an absurd and unprecedented fine of nearly half a billion dollars. Trump was basically convinced of making handsome profits for banks that wanted to continue to do business with him. Other nervous real estate investors promised they would shun New York as a result. Truckers have boycotted deliveries to the city.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump involved a “hush money” payoff to stripper Stormy Daniels being counted as an illegal campaign expense.

Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis is prosecuting the former president for having legitimate questions about the 2020 election results. To boot, her inappropriate relationship with lead prosecutor Nathan Wade has made a further mockery of the trial.

Special counsel Jack Smith’s federal classified documents case against Trump is especially infuriating, as President Biden committed the same offense but was not charged.

All of the prosecutors other than Jack Smith are Black, and all are staunch Democrats.

These cases were planned and coordinated to bankrupt and discredit Trump. They are politically motivated and perhaps have racial overtones. It is no accident that all of these actions are being brought against Trump in the year leading up to the election.

Turley told Fox News, “I think they have so damaged the image of the legal system, both in the federal and state process, that many voters no longer trust these cases or these courts.”

Indeed, the former president’s popularity has never been higher. Trump secured the 2024 GOP nomination in a runaway from the opening day of primary season. Polls show Trump leading President Biden in several crucial battleground states.

All of this proves that the sham criminal and civil cases against Trump do not fool the American people. The Democrat strategy of using the criminal justice system to destroy their opponent has not only been transparent — it has backfired.
