Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) has uncovered what he calls a major issue with absentee voting in Madison, Wisconsin, after learning that over 2,000 duplicate ballots were sent out without barcodes. The Madison Clerk’s Office initially stated that the ballots had identical barcodes and could not be submitted. However, Tiffany shared evidence showing that these ballots lacked any barcodes at all.
In a letter to Madison’s city clerk, Tiffany expressed alarm over the error, questioning how such a large number of ballots could be mistakenly sent out. He also asked whether law enforcement had been contacted to investigate if this mistake was intentional or the result of incompetence.
Tiffany revealed on social media that the number of duplicate ballots affected around 10 wards in Madison, demanding a deeper investigation. The representative stressed that this issue should not be dismissed without consequences for those responsible.
