Customers at a Pennsylvania restaurant are alleging they were forced out to make way for actors hired to participate in a campaign photo op for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. The incident reportedly occurred at a Primanti Bros. restaurant during a campaign stop that was met with local Trump supporters protesting outside.
A video posted on X (formerly Twitter) captured the frustration of locals who claimed they were kicked out of the popular eatery to accommodate the Harris-Walz team. “Customers at Primanti Bros. restaurant in PA were kicked out to make way for paid actors during a Kamala Harris photo op,” said a post from the account “I Meme Therefore I Am.” The post, shared widely on social media, suggested that the event was staged and featured “paid actors” posing as supporters of the Democratic candidates.
Former investment banker John LeFevre echoed these claims, stating, “Prior to her stop at Primanti’s, every single customer was kicked out and replaced with actors.” The sentiment was further amplified by conservative social media personality Catturd, who remarked, “It’s all fake and staged.”
Footage from WFAA showed Harris and Walz inside the restaurant with their spouses, interacting with people seated at tables. Despite the buzz surrounding the claims of “paid actors,” no official confirmation has been made regarding the removal of local patrons or the authenticity of the people in the restaurant.
The video sparked anger on social media, with users criticizing what they see as a disingenuous campaign tactic. While the claims remain unconfirmed, the incident has added fuel to ongoing accusations that the Harris-Walz campaign is struggling to generate genuine grassroots support.
