Border Patrol Agents Voice Frustration, Threaten To Quit If Harris Wins

Border Patrol agents are threatening to leave their jobs en masse if Kamala Harris wins the presidency, citing years of frustration under the Biden-Harris administration. One agent called the last four years “hell” and said he has no interest in staying on if Harris becomes president. Others have echoed this sentiment, with many planning to retire if the election does not result in a change in leadership.

Agents say that while they are not explicitly told to stop enforcing immigration laws, the policies of the Biden-Harris administration have made their work nearly impossible. The National Border Patrol Union recently endorsed Donald Trump, saying that Harris’ policies would lead the country down a dangerous path.

Yuma Border Patrol Chief Chris Clem expressed concern over the administration’s handling of border security, pointing to historically low morale among agents. Clem criticized Harris for running campaign ads that suggest she supports border security, calling them “salt on an already gaping wound.”

Illegal immigration has surged during the Biden-Harris administration, with over 10 million border crossings and 1.7 million “gotaways” since Biden took office. Polls show that immigration is one of the top concerns for voters as the election approaches.

Harris has attempted to shift her messaging on immigration, recently releasing ads that emphasize her role as a border state prosecutor and her support for increasing Border Patrol agents. Despite this, many agents remain skeptical and are ready to walk away if Harris wins the presidency.
