Dark Money Groups Fund Push For Abortion And Ranked-Choice Voting In Nevada

Nevada is becoming a battleground for left-wing dark money groups, as millions are being spent to secure major changes to the state’s constitution. The two main issues on the ballot this November are abortion and ranked-choice voting, both of which are seeing significant funding from progressive organizations.

Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom, a group supporting the passage of Question 6, is pushing to enshrine abortion as a “fundamental right” in Nevada’s constitution. The group has raised more than $6 million in recent months, largely from well-known left-wing organizations like the Advocacy Action Fund and the Tides Foundation.

At the same time, millions more are being funneled into the campaign for Question 3, which would introduce ranked-choice voting (RCV) in Nevada. The system allows voters to rank candidates by preference, a method that critics argue is designed to give an advantage to left-leaning candidates. The group Yes on 3 has raised nearly $14 million, backed by progressive groups like Unite America.

Despite the heavy spending from the left, many in Nevada — including prominent members of both parties — are pushing back, warning of the potential long-term consequences for the state.
